Pescanova USA is a leading vertically integrated importer and trader of high-quality seafood commodities, specializing in Ecuador White Shrimp, Chilean Sea Bass, Argentine Wild Red Shrimp, Peru Mahi Mahi, and other species. We are seeking a dynamic CEO/President to lead our company into its next phase of growth. This is a unique opportunity for a proven leader to make a significant impact in a thriving and competitive market.
Location: Miami, Florida, United States (Remote with commuting is a possibility.)
About the Role:
The CEO/President will be responsible for the overall strategic direction and operational performance of the company. This includes developing and executing business plans, managing key customer relationships, overseeing global procurement, and driving profitability. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the seafood industry, and specifically, the US market, and a proven track record of success in a senior leadership role.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement the company's strategic vision and annual operating plans.
Oversee all aspects of the business, including sales, procurement, finance, operations, and human resources.
Manage and mentor the senior leadership team.
Cultivate and expand relationships with key customers, including retail, foodservice, and club stores.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with global suppliers.
Oversee global procurement strategies to ensure competitive pricing and consistent supply.
Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards.
Manage the company's P&L and ensure financial performance meets or exceeds targets.
Represent the company at industry events and build strong relationships within the seafood community.
Reports to the Chief Commercial Officer – Grupo Nueva Pescanova (Global), Vigo, Spain
Member of the Global Leadership Team – Grupo Nueva Pescanova, Vigo, Spain
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in the seafood industry, with a priority focus on commodity importing or trading, preferably with shrimp experience.
Proven experience running a commodity seafood importing or trading sales division or company.
Experience in a senior leadership role with complete P&L authority.
In-depth knowledge of global seafood procurement practices.
Comprehensive understanding of the US seafood market, including sales channels (retail, foodservice, club stores).
