Sales Representative

Location: West Coast/East Coast

Compensation:

 Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of sales experience in the seafood industry or 2 years' experience in seafood sales/commodities preferred, with a focus on supermarket chains.

• Ability to thrive under pressure, meet deadlines, and exercise sound judgment, particularly when handling confidential information.

• Demonstrated skills in sales, communication, time management, organization, and negotiation, specifically tailored to retail and wholesale sales within supermarket chains.

• Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).

• Strong technical aptitude.

 • Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven track record of building positive relationships with businesses and the community, particularly within the supermarket sector.

 • Must possess a valid driver’s license, current registration, and vehicle insurance documents.

 Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with supermarket chain businesses to open new markets and drive sales growth of both retail and wholesale products.

• Introduce, promote, and sell new and existing products/services to supermarket chain customers using effective selling practices for both retail and wholesale transactions.

 • Perform daily needs assessments for existing and potential supermarket chain customers to identify opportunities for business expansion in both retail and wholesale channels.

• Achieve and exceed sales goals and targets set by the Director of Sales to drive revenue and profitability within the supermarket segment for both retail and wholesale products.

• Regularly visit and call on customers to provide competitive pricing, services, and solutions tailored to their needs in both retail and wholesale transactions.

• Maintain accurate records of account information, including contacts, phone numbers, email addresses, and special requirements for customers.

• Work collaboratively with the Director of Sales to develop strategies, price schedules, discounts, promotions, contracts, and marketing programs targeted at supermarket chains for both retail and wholesale sales.

• Retrieve and place customer orders into the company system, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

• Utilize the company portal to access customer information, stock status, item codes, and other relevant data to facilitate order processing.

 • Provide the Director of Sales with insights and reports on supermarket chain customer needs, challenges, interests, competition, and market trends for both retail and wholesale sales.

 • Proactively address customer concerns and issues, communicating production updates, delays, and solutions promptly and effectively for both retail and wholesale transactions.

 • Act as a key contributor to the sales team and support company-wide sales initiatives for both retail and wholesale products.

 • Conduct regular cold calling activities to prospect and acquire new customers for both retail and wholesale sales.

 • Perform any other job functions as required by the Director of Sales to drive sales growth and meet business objectives for both retail and wholesale channels.
