National Sales:

CenSea is seeking an ambitious and results-driven frozen seafood salesperson to join our team. This individual would share the company’s values around excellent customer service and would support customers through the entire sales process. Candidates for this position should prioritize customer care, acquisition, and company profitability. This is a full-time position and will be based at the company’s headquarters in Northbrook, IL.

Essential Functions:

  • Identify and sell new national accounts such as restaurant chains, retail chains, distributors, processors, and wholesalers.

  • Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationships to prolong customer lifetime value.

  • Generate and qualify leads via phone calls and email.

  • Schedule sales appointments and activities.

  • Close sales using excellent customer service and salespersonship.

  • Prioritize and/or escalate client questions and concerns to increase client satisfaction.

  • Track customer appointments, status reports, contacts, and other information relevant to the sales process.

  • Meet or exceed monthly sales goals.

  • Coordinate sales efforts with other team members and members of support staff.

  • Travel as needed for trade shows, sales meetings, and any specific customer needs.

Skills and Experience Needed:

  • Experience in selling to, or a strong desire to sell to, consumer-packaged goods to distributor, restaurant, and retail accounts.

  • Experience in frozen seafood strongly preferred.

  • Positive attitude, enthusiasm, willingness to wear multiple hats, dependability, and accountability.

  • Excellent customer service skills.

  • Strong will to initiate cold calls.

  • Effective written and verbal communicator with strong organizational and analytical skills.

  • Very high attention to detail.

  • Aptitude for negotiation and persuasion.

  • Highly motivated, determined, and target driven.

  • Proven track record in the sales environment.

  • Ability to effectively interact with both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, NetSuite, and Domo preferred.

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
